New to ID, SIM not working

Hi,

 

I’m moving to ID from another network and my new SIM card arrived today. I inserted it into an unlocked Oppo Reno 2 and my phone simply says “No SIM card inserted”. I have also tried it in an unlocked Oppo Reno A72 with the same result. I intend on using a PAC code to port my old number but am waiting for this issue to be resolved.

 

I have tried multiple restarts as well as checking my settings on my phone and installed them using the online “Check my settings” tool.

 

Is there anything that can be done to resolve this?

Hello @thealmightysponge, it does sound like you’ve received a faulty SIM.

New SIM cards are supplied activated by iD, so should just work when used in an unlocked device.

Try getting a replacement via Live Chat service, or a nearby Carphone Warehouse (currys).
