problems sending texts

Hi, I recently switched over to id mobile and ported my mobile number. I moved over from Android to Apple if that matters. 
 

Every time I send a text I get a notification that the message failed to send, however the person actually does recieve the text, and receives it multiple times.

 

For example I’ve sent my boyfriend a text message and my phone has told me the message failed to send, but he actually received the text 4 times. I text my sister and she receives the text multiple times, sometimes she receives the text from my ported number and sometimes from the temporary number that I received with my id SIM card before I ported my number over. iMessages send as normal. 
 

how can I fix this please as it’s very annoying especially when messaging my doctors or dentists etc and they get multiple texts?

Hi @jdavies,

 

Sorry to hear about the problems with sending text messages. 

The first thing to try is resetting your network settings in the settings app.

If this doesn’t work please could you try logging out of your iMessage restarting the handset and logging back in.

Check you new number appears in these 2 places:

  1. Settings > Phone > My number
  1. Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage has you correct number
