Simple Upgrade ... Not!

Have been with ID on a 4Gb 30 SIM plan for a few months and to be fair have had no issues. Last week invited to upgrade so selected a 6Gb 30 SIM plan as it was more data for same price. As a flag to others thinking of doing the same - don’t! It appears it is not a soft account change on their system - apparently a new SIM is on its way (2-3 days apparently) but ID cut your existing SIM within 24 hrs so now I have no service until the new SIM arrives. What an appalling way to effect an existing Customer upgrade.

I’m sorry to hear that, the SIM sent is typically a blank one and only then activated with a prompt in the iD Mobile app/website.
