Unable to transfer number


Just transferred to idMobile but unable to transfer number - meant to be 3 easy steps but not working. Any help appreciated

Okay @Ian Stansfield, your post is a bit confusing - you’ve just transferred to iD Mobile by using a PAC from your ‘old’ provider?

What 3 steps are you following?

At which step do things go wrong?

 

 

Apologies for the confusion - I’m trying to transfer to idMobile to keep my old number however when I enter all the information it says there is an error with the data.

You can only use a PAC once @Ian Stansfield - did you give your old provider’s PAC to iD Mobile at the point-of-purchase?

But the phone came with a different number

Okay, at the point-of-purchase, you would’ve been asked for your preferred transfer date - what date did you provide at that time @Ian Stansfield

Okay @Ian Stansfield, your number transfer should happen on 12-JUL-2023.

Also, it’s worth noting number transfers aren’t immediate - you may experience loss of service between your ‘old’ provider’s SIM becoming inactive, and the number you want to keep working with your iD SIM card. It can take up to 10pm for the switch to complete.

Hey @Ian Stansfield,

@WelshPaul  and @andewhite  have solved this one.

Your selected date is when the port will complete for.

When the contract is connected, we have to connect it with an active number to provide services.

Hence it is connected with what is commonly referred to as a “temporary number”.

This is replaced after the switch completes.

In the meantime, use the temp number to register.
