When people call me it doesn’t go to voicemail even though it says my voicemail is activated, it just rings out then says number not recognised .

You could use the online iD Live Chat service, and ask iD support to check your iD account is correctly provisioned for voicemail. The advisors work until 8pm on weekdays.
Hi it’s certainly happened for quite a while now , not sure if it’s always happened .
