wifi calling not working on mfiso air 1 rugged phone

I changed phone from Samsung A7 to a rugged phone Mfiso air 1

 

Tried everything strong WiFi signal settings correct etc

Is there anything ID should change?

Sadly @Sven van Sweeden, your new handset is not an approved handset - see iD’s online list at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/approved-handsets.

Nor is it listed as being supported with the “iD WiFi Call” service, see the online page at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/wifi-calling - scroll down to the “How do I get Wi-Fi Calling?” section.

While your handset doesn’t need to be on either of these lists to use iD Mobile, when things don’t work there’s no help available from iD.

Just as clarification is it solely the handset that needs setting up?

 

Or in future if the handset gets approved it is possible?

Okay @Sven van Sweeden, I don’t work for iD Mobile, so couldn’t say.

They (iD) tend to focus on testing the most widely sold handsets - yours is a bit niche, so doubt they’d ever test and approve it.

Android 12 OS and all should be safe enough

Staff from iD read forum posts infrequently, and are currently reading posts made 8-9 days ago.

If you’d like to chat with iD, I suggest getting in-touch using one of the options below:

  1. Use online chat service at https://idmobile.co.uk/live-chat - iD agents work 9am - 8pm on weekdays (8am - 6pm at weekends).
  2. Send iD a private message on facebook (using Messenger).
  3. Send iD a DM (direct message) on Twitter.

Out-of-hours messages left on facebook or Twitter are picked-up when the iD social media team next start work.

Hey @Sven van Sweeden,

approved handsets on our lists will work without issues.

Non-approved handsets may work but can face issues. It’s usually the firmware that’s incompatible and sadly there isn’t anything we can do.

If it’s added in the future, it should get access to the feature.
