Wrong number showing on texts

My PAC code has successfully been activated and the number is working. 

However when I message certain people (so not all people) it is coming from a completely different number. (Mobile number). When they ring or text this number, it is invalid. 

How do I delete this number, or take this number off my SIM so it stops confusing people.

I have visited O2 (my previous provider) and Carphone Warehouse and they cannot help me with this problem. 

(I have a SAMSUNG)

Okay @Bethany Nash, just TURN OFF the “Chat features” option in the Messages app on your Samsung.

I’d recommend leaving the “Chat features” option OFF.

Hey @Bethany Nash,

This is down to Android Messaging.

Try the suggestions @andewhite  mentioned and this should fix it.

It may take some time to update, sometimes seeing even a few days so just keep trying!
