I’m having problems changing my number in my settings back to my old number. I have tried the recommended options below and nothing worked.
Settings > Profile (top option) > Name, Phone Number, Email > (check your number is correct in there)
Another way to sometimes get the iPhone to refresh and properly be reporting the correct number is as follows:
- Turn off the phone, and remove your SIM card.
- Turn on the phone (with no SIM inserted) and leave the phone on for 4 or 5 minutes or so.
- Turn off the phone and re-insert the SIM.
- Turn on the iPhone and hopefully things will have refreshed correctly there.
I also tried to de-register the number from iMessage with Apple, but the verification code wouldn’t come through.
