Problems after transferring number from EE

I have recently transferred my old number across from EE to Id mobile. The problem I have is that the ‘new’ number that came with my new phone is still active, so now when I send a text it comes from the new number and not from my own mobile number. I have gone into settings on my phone to try and change this but the new number is set as the default for sending messages and has been greyed out, so I can’t amend. Can anyone help please? Thanks

Porting your number just require patience and need few days for everything to work smoothly again. If you requested a port in last couple of days just give it a little bit more time and everything should go back to normal.

You can from time to time reboot your phone to see if a wee refresh can improve things for you.
