Undelivered SMS texts to non-iPhone users

I’ve recently joined this network and imported my number.  I’m having a few issues but primarily, the text messages are only sometimes getting delivered; iMessages are unaffected and working fine. Texts to non-iPhone users are coming back to me as undelivered but the receiver tells me they’ve had it 3 times. I was on live chat for two hours last night, only for the agent to leave me online, unresponsive to me for the final 45 minutes of our chat. 
I am in the middle of town and my 4G signal has only one bar; is this poor coverage typical of your service?

Sorry to hear that.

Can you try the following steps for us and see if this fixes the issue?


1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.
