sim not working

Hi 

I just upgraded my contract and was told  a another sim card was going to be posted to me though I didn't need to replace the curent one.

Since  yesterday I have not been able to make calls or receive any. 

I've tried activating the new one but it keeps saying the number is the same.

Please this is urgent.  I need to make calls and expecting very important calls ASAP.
