I requested to transfer my old number from EE on Friday and was told this would be done on Monday. I received my text on Monday to say that the change had happened and on my app my old number is now listed but when I text/call people it still comes through as the new number I received with my ID mobile SIM card. I have switched my phone off and on again but no luck. Any advice?

I am sorry to hear about that issue! Your phone may have not automatically updated following on from the port.
If you’re using an iPhone, please try the following settings:
1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.
If you’re using an Android device, please head to the Settings of the phone and see if the “Reset” section allows you to reset the network settings.
