Number porting

Hi, my number has ported over today, but only for making calls. When I text it still shows as my new temporary number.
i use iPhone. I switched off iMessage and FaceTime and rebooted phone, but still shows as temporary number.
how do fix this?

I would say, give it few days. Everything should be back to normal in few days. If this problem still occurs after few days just contact customer support via live chat on idmobile website.

its sorted now.
a couple of reboots. Switching iMessage on/off in between the reboots has sorted it.

Glad to hear it's been resolved @Gh2410

This issue is primarily caused by iMessage not automatically updating the number once you've ported.

Simply follow these steps to correct any future issues with iMessage:

1) Try turning off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) then restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number)
5) then turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.
