We are on ID already, pay monthly, trying to get a contract phone through carphone warehouse but when we try to check out, it's not letting us put in a pac code as we are already with I'd but we can't check out and keep the number!

UK mobile network operators don’t allow customers to use a PAC to transfer a number from one account to another account.
You can only use a PAC to transfer your number from one service provider to another service provider.

You can upgrade your existing contract to a new contract and keep the number if you did want to do this
