Hi, I almost purchased an upgrade but was asked for 1p and credit card details. I already have an account that is paid by direct debit, so why are you asking me for credit card details? Not bothered about the 1p but the more people who know my credit card details the more people there are that can have them hacked.

Hello @Zebidee,

I think this is part of the iD credit check process, even if you have DD setup.

If iD are compliant with PCI standards, then you shouldn’t be too worried about card details being hacked.

You could try their Live Chat service - https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat - they should be able to confirm whether iD are complaint.

Good luck!

Hi @Zebidee thanks for getting in touch.

The 1p transaction is just for security reasons, nothing more. The 1p is refunded to you too.
