I want to keep my current ID number

I currently have an existing ID SIM only plan however my phone recently gave the blue screen of death. I have now taken out an ID contract for a shiny new phone (not yet delivered) but is it correct I would not be able to transfer my existing number to the new contract phone?

Seems strange with todays tech that you cannot port numbers within providers and frustrating as I have had the same number for 11 years.

Hello @Yorgos,

That’s correct. We can’t port the number from one iD plan to another.

But if you were on a SIM-only plan for more than 6-months, you could have upgraded your plan via the app/account to a new iD phone contract. Upgrading simply replaces your current plan, retaining the number.

Would you like help with upgrading and returning the new one purchased?
