Texts to Ireland

Hi - wonder if you can help?  Since purchasing my new phone in Jan this year I’ve not been able to text to Ireland - I can WhatsApp photos and messages but can’t send as a text message?

Any texts to Ireland (from the UK) are not included in your plan’s allowances - they’ll be charged at the International rate for text messages to Ireland.

In order to do anything International, you’ll need to make sure that:

  1. International is turned ON in your iD My Account online.
  2. Your bill cap is a non-zero value (so you can send an International text).

The charges to Ireland are:

Hi @Ang1e, as @andewhite, it’s most likely that your bill cap is set to £0.00 and is preventing the text from being sent, or your International feature is disabled (though this is less likely, as it’s enabled by default)

Both settings can be amended in the iD Mobile app.
