Personal hotspot dropping out

 I use a personal hotspot on my iPhone 7 to get online with my wifi-only iPad mini 4. The personal hotspot keeps dropping out on my phone. I’ve been monitoring it and it’s only occasionally due to lack of mobile service.I want know why it’s failing the rest of the time.  I’ve repeatedly followed the advice on Apple’s page, and their next suggestion is to check with your carrier. But it seems to me that if the hotspot works at all, the issue isn’t ID mobile, because surely they either allow hotspots or they don’t. Is that right?

what is 3’s 4g super-voice vs 4g?

I get 3G on my mobile, because 3 doesn’t do 4g in this area. I’ve just re-checked On the 3 website, and their tool still says I can’t get 4g, and no sign of plans to change that. But - If I enter my model number, it says that I can get 4g Super-Voice at this postcode . I’ve looked at their description and it just looks like it’s another 4g service. So, can they offer 4g super-voice, but not “bog standard” 4G? Or is their tool just inaccurate and they can’t really offer it if you don’t get 4g as standard?

Customer Services PIN

My welcome email includes a temporary 4-figure customer services PIN, which I want to change. The only PIN option that I can find on my account is to change my logon from a password to a 6-figure PIN, so that’s not it. Excuse my stupidity, but I just can’t find a 4-figure customer services PIN on my account settings, although no doubt its there in plain sight. The only advice that I can find says that I can see it if I logon, but not where it is. Clue?

Number not transferred, live chat not working

Hi, a I’ve been waiting a week after entering my PAC for my old number to be transferred. I have logged in, but the link to live chat is not working. I notice that it says “login” at the top of that page. So I keep logging in again, but every time I get back to the page with the live chat link, it seems to think I’m no longer logged in. Not sure if this is why live chat won’t work. If I was being cynical I might think this was a devious way to cut down the workload for ID! I really don’t want to phone them, because it would be easier to quote order refs and PACs etc in writing. Any clues on how to get live chat working?
