Network query - is iD mobile restricted compared to 3?

This is quite a technical query. A relative was in my house recently and noticed that his MVNO phone (on 1pmobile which is EE) got no signal while right next to a “real” EE phone. Swapped sims and the problem swapped. What I later discovered was that EE do not allow their MVNOs full unrestricted access to their entire spectrum. I think in this case the 1pmobile didn’t get the 800Mhz signal which was part of 5G, and there must be an EE 5G transmitter nearby. Hence the EE sim got great signal, the 1pmobile got nada. My question is - does iD get restricted the same way on the 3 network? If I get an iD mobile sim will it get exactly the same signal strength and network as a genuine 3 sim in all areas? thanks

Three home signal box. Will an ID mobile SIM work with this?

Hi, I get very poor signal on Three so they sent a Home Signal box which works very well. If I switch to ID mobile will it continue to work?   I had a chat session with idmobile which ended rather oddly with them telling me to go to carphonewarehouse for an answer as they couldn’t provide one.

Calling 1 country - landline or mobile

Bit of a long shot but I have an idmobile sim on pay monthly because it’s such good value and I rarely use the phone for calls (£7 pcm). I am in the UK but want to occasionally call 1 particular (EU) country - generally landlines but also mobiles.  I’m not sure that id even offer an additional allowance anyway, but I don’t use it every month anyway. It’s time to review my contract and currently this costs me per minute, is there anyone at id who can look into including this 1 country in my package?  Oh - the people I’m calling aren’t on viber/whatsapp/the internet before anyone asks thanks
