Hi @Emslat,

Yes of course, when upgrading your plan you will always keep the same number. 🙂

Ryan

I have activated my new sim only card but received a new number.

How do I change that.

Why was there a new number on my new sim card?

Hi @Tony Velterop

If you have been given a new number you may have taken out a new contract rather than an upgrade.

When you check your plan within your account, does it show your new upgraded SIM-only plan?

Thanks

Thanks Michelle,

I can’t check the website because it is in maintenance at the moment.

Hi @Tony Velterop,

Have you checked your emails to see whether or not the confirmation advises if it was a new line or upgrade?

Will

Thanks will,

It was not an upgrade as I kept my old phone.

I took out a sim only deal.

Cheers

Hello @Tony Velterop,

If you took out a new SIM card, this is a new contract and would have it’s own number.

An upgrade doesn’t mean keeping the same handset, it simply means upgrading the existing contract with us.

This can either be upgrading to a SIM-only or upgrading and taking out a different handset.

Can you clarify, were you with iD Mobile previously or a different network?

If you were with iD Mobile, then the correct process would have been upgrading your existing contract you had that finished, to a SIM-only plan.

This keeps the number and changes you to a SIM-only plan.

If you were with a different network, then worry not, you can just use a PAC code to transfer your number over to iD Mobile.

Can you clarify which of these is corect for you?
