new phone contract instead of upgrade

Hi, Im an existing ID customer and have upgraded my phone through carphone warehouse and not my ID app. How do I go about keeping my existing number and will I be paying for two packages?

Hi @Andy1p,

Unfortunately upgrades cannot be bought through the Carphone Warehouse store/website so they have sold you a brand new contract from the sounds of things. To keep your number, you will need to upgrade through your online iD Mobile account or app.

At present, you will be paying for two contracts so I would recommend purchasing the upgrade from us first and then returning your order to the Carphone Warehouse if you’re still within their returns period.
