Upgrade charges more than monthly fee

I've upgraded from £3.99 per month sim only to £8 pm sim only with unlimited minutes and 12 GB data. but my bill shows “Monthly Recurring Charge for this period From: 04/12/20 To: 25/01/21 £11.49”.  I expected it to be £8. nb there are no call/data charges etc from my previous sim.

Hello @Dave 

As you upgraded part way in your month, you would have received a credit for any line rental charged at the £3.99 rate from the date you upgraded.

You’re then re-billed the line rental for this period at the £8.00 rate.

So if you upgraded in the last 10-days, you’d get a credit for 10 days of line rental at £3.99

Then charged whatever 10-days of line rental is at £8.00 instead.

This is then added to your normal £8.00 bill giving the new total.

Your future bills should be £8.00.
