Recently got a new phone, but can’t find instructions online for how to transfer my eSIM over. Want to keep the same number I’ve always had, but have only ever used physical SIMs before so not sure how to do this.

Hey there @MarcTisch, welcome to Community!

If you want to transfer your phone number over to us, you need to fill out the form below:

https://switching.idmobile.co.uk

Transferring your number is a separate process to activating an eSIM.

For further information on activating an eSIM, please check out the below post:

Thank you,

Tyler

That wasn’t my question - I’m already with ID mobile and have been for a while. I have a new phone and I just want to move my eSIM to it, along with the associated number.

Hi @MarcTisch

The device itself should show you how to transfer an eSIM from one device to another, however it may be also easy to alternatively request a replacement eSIM and activate that on the device you wish to use.

Hi @Tom, I will try this although the Apple advice if automatic transfer doesn’t come up says; “contact your network provider to transfer your eSIM”.

If I am required to get a replacement eSIM, I want to guarantee my phone number does not change.

Hi @MarcTisch,

If we provide you with a replacement eSIM or physical SIM we would activate it under your account so that you keep the same number.

if you have a puc code then you have to use it in the time to do it if you don't use it in time then you can lose

it as they are going to give the number to a new customer so contact your old provider and ask for a new puc transfer from them if you are days off the date given to use it then you will not have any further rights to the number and will need to use the number given by the new company

Hi @Kash / @Tom

I’ve successfully transferred over my phone now, however my eSIM would not transfer. It simply stated ‘No eSIM available, please contact your network provider’.

Can I please request a changeover or a physical SIM so that I can use my new phone? Since everything else has already been moved over, I’m currently having to keep both phones on me at all times.

Thanks.
