Hi, there was a related question, but I am not sure it actually answered the question I have. I have a physical SIM with ID mobile, and a e-sim as a 2nd number in the same phone and I can swap back and forth between eSIm and Physical… all good.

However, I want to change my handset, and obviously I can swap the physical SIM. I have removed the eSIM from the old handset, but I can’t add it to the new handset, as it says it is already been connected on another device.

Is there any way to port the eSIM from the old phone to the new? Seems like a huge limitation if not.

Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately @campbke, iD Mobile don’t currently support eSIM transfers from one device to another device.

Hi @campbke,

Hi @Kash ,

Can I ask if you know how long this normally takes?

Thanks

Gaz

Hi there @GazDav, the live-chat team should be able to email you the eSIM there and then, and then be delivered to your email within 1-hour of them doing so.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thanks @Kash ,

I spoke with live-chat team, they said I need to wait until my new iPhone arrives before requesting a new eSIM, as it may expire!
I didn’t think the QR codes expired until you have used them, am I correct? Or do I need to wait?

Thanks

Gaz

Hi @GazDav,

I would advise to wait for the handset in that case.

Once you have the phone, please get in touch and a new eSIM can be provided.
