My phone now operates with an eSIM.  When travelling abroad can I insert a local physical sim and use that  in conjunction with the eSIM

That should be possible @Bill McHugh, assuming your handset supports dual SIM operation.

FYI, I’ve done this with my iPhone in Australia and the USA.

Ande, I have installed an eSIM to replace my physical sim.  This will allow a “spare” tray for a foreign physical Sim.

Hey there @Bill McHugh, welcome to Community!

As kindly advised by @andewhite, you will be able to use an eSIM and physical SIM in your phone, so long as your phone supports it.

Thanks,

Tyler
