i have been charged £54.38 when my monthly bill should be £38.99 I was wondering if this could have anything to do with me changing my DD date. 

I haven't used anything over my allotted usage etc. or made any calls outside of my contract. Any ideas?

Yes, when you change the date of your DD your monthly bill will initially be different, before reverting to your usual monthly amount.

Thanks for the info. I thought that's what it would be. If I'd known, I wouldn't have done it until after Xmas. Extra cost I don't need but nevermind.

As you will have been billed for a longer period the bill would be higher.

However your next bill will go back to normal.
