You’ve got to be within the UK in order to port your number to an iD SIM card.
Is your other SIM card is from another UK mobile provider?
You’ll need to be in the UK during time period the number port/switch happens - good luck

The way the post was phrased lead me to assume they wanted to port a UK mobile number to iD, but do that while abroad.
