Question

Charged while roaming in EU

I am a new customer to ID Mobile and I recently visited an EU country. When I got back home I noticed I had been charged for roaming. My roaming tab was turned on on the ID Mobile app on my phone. I spoke to someone at ID customer service and she said that when I arrived in Italy I should have “linked up my phone with one of the ID Mobile partners” - but I haven’t got a clue what she meant, and she did not explain it very well. Could someone please explain what I need to do when I arrive in an EU country to ensure that I don’t get charged for roaming. Thanks.

Okay @Darren Bugg, perhaps you inadvertently used a Swiss mobile network while in Italy.

Another possibility is you used a Vatican City or San Marino mobile network by mistake, while nearby these states.

Out of interest, how did you travel to and from Italy?

Hi @Darren Bugg

It sounds like you may have as @andewhite suggests connected to a network/region that isn’t in our inclusive roaming plan like Italy is and therefore been charged for usage on it.
