Data roaming off

Been to Vietnam and Cambodia, turned off data roaming and mobile data. Smart watch kept telling it's connected to a phone that is roaming. Would check each time but still off in the settings. Just been on the id mobile app and I have £75 of extra charges. I was unaware you can put a cap on this, which I have done although it's too late now. Also while scrolling through on the app it says I have roaming on ! I have now turned this off and it says pending. Can this override my settings? I have never had any problems when I was with EE but just moved to id.

Sorry to hear about the charges you have incurred.

When roaming abroad it’s important to ensure that roaming is turned off on the handset.

Roaming can be expensive and the charges would be valid if you have been charged for any roaming.

However if you set a cap of £0 this will stop any charges so you are only charged your monthly amount.

If you believe that you have been charged incorrectly, please let us know and we can check it out.
