When calling an 0808 number this is the message recieved " your service does not allow access to this number"
How can a call be made or will this never be an option outside the UK?

You can’t call an 0808 number from overseas - many companies provide an alternative number if you need to call them from overseas.
You might find the number you need on the company’s web site.
