I've been charged out of Plan Roaming in the EU 'roam like home'.

Driven from UK to Italy today. At some point I've been charged £5 for out of Plan data. I leave data connected and have not been charged previously for similar journies in the EU. Usage is 2MB (small) and I have 94Gb data allowance remaining at the time of writing. I believe I have been incorrectly billed. Please can this be investigated?

Unfortunately @mrben10, roaming on a ferry crossing is not covered, and considered out-of-plan use by iD Mobile.

See the charges online at International Calling & Roaming Charges.

Hi andewhite,

At the time stamp of the charge on my bill I was crossing the Swiss border by car. Should I have been charged for driving on the motorway? Ie not ferry

Unfortunately, Switzerland is not an inclusive roaming destination @mrben10.

If your handset connected to a Swiss network, this could result in out-of-plan charges.

OK thanks, so I should be pleased it did not cost more!

Hi @mrben10. @andewhite is correct on this one. Unfortunately, Switzerland isn’t included in our EU roaming list, which will be why you’ve incurred the extra charges.
