Ive upgraded but it still wants me to pay my old plan

Hiya, I upgraded last weekend, love the phone however the app still wants me to pay 39.10 for my iPhone 11, even though I’ve set up a direct debit for my new iPhone 13.  I have kept the same number and same sim so shouldn’t it just transfer over?

Not if you’ve purchased a new connection, instead of an upgrade for your existing iPhone 11 handset contract, @Gabi Stillwell.

Hi @Gabi Stillwell it seems like you have purchased a new additional contract.

You have a couple of options. As you are not able to port your number within the same network (i.e. port from iD to iD), only upgrade; you can port your current iD number from your current contract to a Pay As You Go SIM. You would then be able to port this back to a new iD contract. This is otherwise known as a triangular port. Or you can cancel your current contract and keep the new one with a new number.
