I purchased a smartphone with a new contract online and received today. im just wondering how to activate my plan but still use my original number from another company. i know how to port the number but how do i connect this number to the contract if i already received a new sim card

Get the PAC from your previous mobile service provider.
Sign-in to your iD My Account online and give iD Mobile the PAC - depending on when you give the PAC to iD, your old number will be transferred to iD the next working day.
