new sim contract - no signal

I received a text early yesterday to say my sim is ready to activate. I’ve moved to a cheaper sim only contract with you guys as my phone contract expired. 

carphone warehouse said I shouldn’t need to do anything and I should be able to carry on using my existing sim, everything should just transfer across as I was already with id network. 

since I received the text yesterday I have lost signal and I’ve been unable to receive or make calls. The text said it would only take 24 hours. 

I’ve tried turning my phone on and off multiple times but this hasn’t worked. What do I need to do?

Hi @Alicia199090,

We are sorry to hear about this.

If you upgrade from a handset contract you would usually receive a new SIM.

However as the old SIM has stopped working it does sound like a new SIM has been sent out.

SIM deliveries can take around 5 working days to be delivered but please get back to us here if it’s already been longer than that.
