New sim received - Device saying 'No Sim'

I received the sim today. I’ve tried it in 3 unlocked phones.. none of them see it.  I’ve started porting my number over.   I think I need a new SIM asap.  

I tried activating the sim card, but it says:
“You've entered a SIM card number that's already active. If you have received a SIM from us for the first time, your SIM should already be activated”

I think I urgently need a new sim in time for when my number is ported over to ID Mobile. 
Please help.
