Regularly when I dial a number I get the message this number is not on your network this happens for all the numbers I try to dial I have to switch off my phone to rectify it. Why is this happening? How do I resolve it without turning my phone off?

You might have a faulty phone, or a faulty SIM card.
Turn your phone OFF and remove the SIM card - check it’s not broken or damaged, and make sure there are no fingerprints on the SIM card.
If the problem persists, see if you can try the SIM in another phone, or get a replacement SIM from iD.
