Old debt, need an admin please

Hi - I had an old default that was paid off, but hasn’t been removed from my credit file, the final payment hasn’t been updated from five months ago.

 

Was told by Experian to contact you.

Paying off a debt won’t remove any negative markers for the months or years you were overdue, but the account should be updated to show that it’s been settled.

Sure, yes. They just haven’t updated it since that final payment 5 months ago, it’s still showing as that last amount as the current balance.

 

The doubly annoying thing is the debt company who handled this (who are _useless_ beyond belief) actually shows it as fully settled and £0 balance on their own site.
