Old Number issues

I've transferred my old number over from Smarty to ID Mobile, however when I text people, my new number shows up on their phone rather than the number I brought across.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Okay @Martin Proctor, this can happen if you’re using iMessage on iPhone, or RCS messaging on Android.

If you’ve used your handset and your new iD SIM card together BEFORE your number has transferred to iD Mobile, then Apple or Google register the handset device as linked to the number initially allocated by iD Mobile for your iD SIM card.

The quick fix is to turn off iMessage, or “Chat features” (RCS messaging on Android), so your text messages are sent by SMS alone. 

A Network Reset can fix the issue, otherwise check the following community article for more solutions.

I turned off chat features, as they were referring to the new number which came with the new phone. 

Problem solved.
