I’ve just moved from the EU, I’m trying to apply for a sim only plan, but when i get to check-out, I’m being asked to provide a valid uk number, which i obviously don’t have since I’ve moved from outside of the uk, my first question is, why would i need to provide a phone number when my goal is to get one, and second how am I meant to do since i don’t have one?

thank you for your help.

Afraid you’ll find id will require 3 years of UK credit history for you to progress.

I've technically moved to the uk, 3 years ago, and been using my phone contract from where I’m from as it allowed to use it in the eu, but after getting my phone stolen and being new in the incapacity to renew my SIM card from here, I had to cancel my contract and would like to subscribe to a new plan here in the uk, but again, they won’t let me as I need to provide a uk valid number that I don’t have

Try ordering an iD PAYG SIM instead @mazerty.

If you then setup your PAYG account with a monthly bundle, and set this bundle to auto-renew, you’ve effectively got a pay monthly SIM only plan.
