I have recently switched networks to ID. When I put the SIM card into my phone, nothing happens and I have no signal. I tried everything to fix it.

It sounds like you might’ve received a damaged, faulty or inactive SIM card @Comma_arcom

Does the iD SIM work in an alternative unlocked handset?

no it does not

Okay @Comma_arcom, I’d say you’ve received a dud.
Here’s two ways of getting hold of a replacement iD SIM card @Comma_arcom:

  1. Pick-up a replacement SIM card from your nearest Currys store at your convenience.
  2. Start an online Live Chat to request a replacement SIM via the post (Royal Mail).

option 1 is probably better for me. How would I go about doing that?

Okay, I’m not from iD Mobile, nor Currys - however, you’d like to think the staff in your nearest Currys store can help you @Comma_arcom.

ok after reading the F.A.Q. it seems that after I get a replacement SIM card I’ll need to activate it on my account. The problem with that is that I never made an account, and to make an account I need to receive a text message, which I can’t do due to my lack of sim card.

You don’t need an online account to activate your iD SIM card @Comma_arcom.

Do it without an account at https://my.idmobile.co.uk/ja/web/cpw/sim-swap.

Just answer the “Are you already registered for the iD Mobile App or My Account Online?” question by using the “No, not yet” option.
