Question

sim only deal - pause agreement

Hello,

I am interested to buy a SIM only deal but I'd like to know that when the 1 month (30 days) cycle ends, would I be able to just pause the agreement? I mean to still keep the SIM active but to stop rolling payments (I am aware I would not be able to use data or make calls).

I need the below questions clarified:

  1. Can I pause the agreement immediately or do I need to give notice on a 1 month deal?
  2. If the SIM is still active but payments paused, would I be able to receive calls? Would those received calls be charged?
  3. For how long can I keep the agreement paused still having an active SIM?

Thank you.

Hey @matei,

  1. You cannot pause contracts or payments
  2. See above
  3. See above

Contract SIM only plans will continue to be billed each month at the agreed rate regardless of usage.

Perhaps a PAYG plan may be better?

You can with a PAYG plan:

  • Buy a bundle
  • Buy a recurring bundle (that is applied automatically each month
  • Top up

With PAYG SIM cards, one month you could buy a bundle that lasts a month.

Then, you can proceed to not purchase a bundle for 2 months and then the 3rd month buy a bundle again.

If you top up, you can use the credit at 3p per minute, 2p per text and 1p per MB data.

The only thing to note is for PAYG SIMs, you need to have chargeable usage within every 4 months or the SIM is disconnected.
