SIM Only upgrade and number porting

Hi all,

2 questions:

1- if I upgrade my SIM only service to a new one, can I keep the same SIM card or will I receive a new one;

2- can I port a number from an old provider to a new one after I start the service?

Hello @DRJ76,

You can change or upgrade a SIM only plan through your iD My Account.
Use CHANGE if you want to continue down the SIM only route; use UPGRADE if you want a new handset with a line rental.
If you upgrade you get a new SIM - not sure what iD do when you change plan.
You can start a contract with iD and port a number from another provider at a later date.
