I am trying to call 0800 169 0283 from the UK; which is a Government freephone number - UK Government (Jobcentre)

After waiting for 10 minutes in a typical phone queue, it eventually says “Sorry, your service does not allow access to this number” -  this is the same issue that was reported here for the same number:

So is not an issue specific to my phone

Hi @Ben Lowe,

All 0800 numbers are free to call which means that you shouldn’t have any issues.

Did you manage to call the number successfully via your iD Mobile number or are you still having issues with this?
