Switching ID Sim only deals

My 12 month ID Sim only deal is due to end. I have found a new, better Sim only deal with ID. Do I have to cancel my first contract and then take out a new one or can I take out a new one then provide the PAC code from my old one to switch over and cancel the old one?

If you wish to keep your number with iD Mobile it would be best to look at upgrading. 

Have you taken a look at your upgrade options via the app?

You can check this via My Account> Manage My Plan> Check if I can upgrade.
