Question

Tried to transfer number from Vodafone to Three when it should have been ID

OK, so currently I’m on Vodafone and want to transfer my number from Vodafone sim to my new ID sim.

Me being stupid, went to the Three website to transfer the Vodafone number to my ID sim with PAC. Because I thought Three and ID shared the same customer service or something. And obviously they don’t.

I assume that’s not going to work right? Three should reject the request? Just wanted to double check.

It should not work @kingayro1, unless of course you’ve got an account with Three.

Did you get any acknowledgement from Three when you submitted your PAC?

Went on Three website’s live chat and they confirmed that it won’t work.

When I submitted the PAC, it did not give me any sort of acknowledgement. Just a generic message saying it will take 2 working days or something. It didn’t even pick up that it wasn’t a Three number lol.

So I guess you didn’t have an account with Three @kingayro1.

Your PAC from Vodafone can be used with any UK mobile network operator but, only if you’ve got an account with them.

Switching rules mean you should get email/text (or both) when your PAC is submitted and accepted by the gaining operator.
