Why cant i order 2 new contract mobile phones from ID?

I ordered 2no mobile phones this morning from ID (IPhone 13 & Honor 90)

They were processed ok and then I received an email advising me of an issue & to call ID.

Upon speaking to an advisor i was informed (eventually) that there is a 1no phone per customer policy which i cannot find any information on.

This must be a mistake as I have had 4no mobiles with EE in the past without issue!!

Can someone confirm this statement please?

It seems odd if true that ID are effectively turning down additional revenue streams…….crazy business decision!!

Hello @Nimshoi,

There is a restriction on how many contracts can be purchased at any one time.

You can have multiple contracts, I believe it was 2 contracts per account holder but usually needs to be purchased after a period of time e.g. 6 months.

Thanks for reply Mohammed.

This is very disappointing to hear as i would like to move my family away from EE to ID.

However, as this is not an option now i guess i will have to look elsewhere.

As i said above…...this would appear to be a crazy business model & I suggest this urgently needs addressing by ID moving forward!!

Hello @Nimshoi,

I appreciate your feedback, the model used for security checks is on all orders. We do share the same order system as Carphone Warehouse so it’s unlilely this is going to be changed.
