Hi all,

I've been trying to understand the changes being introduced from January '25 in which companies can no longer increase rates by the CPI% and have to start noting the increases in pounds and pence.

My question is, if I were to take out a contract now (e.g. the new Google pixel 9 👀) would the prices increase from April '25 be one of the CPI%, or would it be more in line with the new changes due in effect.

I've tried researching a few different sites and can't seem to find the answer. I know Vodaphone (and a few others) have already started reporting the increased but unsure how this would work for the companies still advising price increases in CPI%.

Thank you all in advance,

Hey there @Sam Nicholson, welcome to Community!

As of right now, your contract would increase in line with the current RPI/CPI price increases next April.

If this was to change, we would notified the customers.

Therefore, currently, please refer to our usual terms and conditions for RPI/CPI price increases.

Thanks,

Tyler
