Problem with texts

I recently transferred my old number over to ID Mobile.

Whenever I send a text to someone they receive the same text three or more times and my phone says that the texts has failed. 
 

Can this be fixed? It’s a bit annoying for the receiver and I can never tell if my texts have sent successfully or not if it’s saying that they’ve all failed.

Hi @ella.henry,

Which phone do you have? After a port, we recommend resetting the network settings to ensure the phone has up-to-date network settings.

If you are using an iPhone, please try the below steps:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”. 

Let us know if this helps and what phone make/model you’re using.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have an iPhone 11. 

I tried all the above steps and reset my network settings as recommended but unfortunately i’m still having the same problems

This issue is caused by iMessage from my knowledge.

 

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)

Should fix the issue but you’ve advised this has been tried.

When you go to Settings Messages and Send & Receive which number shows?

I tried the steps above for second time and network reset again but it still hasn’t worked. 

On send & receive it has the correct mobile number.

Just to let you know I tried the steps for a third time and factory reset my phone and it has worked.
