What is Wi-Fi Calling (VoWIFI)?Wi-Fi Calling is a great iD feature on selected handsets. It lets you use the power of Wi-Fi to make better calls, and smash through indoor blackspots.Indoor blackspots can stop you getting connected, but with Wi-Fi Calling, that's not a problem. It gives you clearer calls, in more places than ever before. Oh, and you can also use it to send texts. Here’s how to get it…How do I get Wi-Fi Calling?1. Check that your phone is compatible. Here’s the important bit. Is your phone compatible? We’re currently experiencing a technical issue that means some customers may be unable to make voice calls. Please bear with us, our technical team is working hard to fix this issue and full service will be restored as soon as possible. While we’re working to restore this function, you should still be able to use other communication apps for voice calling, such as WhatsApp and Skype. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Hi. I have a Tesco sim and an ID simtried running different providers. Tesco sim gives great 4g coverage. ID sim can’t even give minimum data coverage on 3G or 4g on exactly the same providers (yoigo, Movistar etc) obviously nothing to do with coverage as I am checking with multiple phones and my router. The Tesco sim works great the ID sim is worthless. Please advise
I know that the primary reason for using data roaming is when your travelling abroad.I have poor signal using my ID sim card where I'd constantly have full bars with my previous provider. In my phone settings I've enable data roaming and under the select network operators manually setting more UK networks have popped up.Does this mean If I set it to automatic that I can use other UK network operators in areas that I'd otherwise have a poor signal with ID, if so would this incur additional charges as UK is not listed within the band 1 or 2 countries list.Or is data roaming strictly for abroad and has no effect within your own country?Had 4 bars with EE and now I have 1 bar in pretty much every location, this is a brand new sim/handset with a transferred number so possibly a faulty sim?
On Saturday I had no signal and at times just 1 bar. I had to take my mother to hospital for a procedure and they were going to call and let me know when I could collect her. There was no signal in the waiting room, very little around the hospital I ended up driving home where again no signal or just 1 bar. This made it a stressful day as I could not be contacted by my mobile. I now have only 1 bar of signal. If this continues I will be changing provider..
I do not use my voicemail it is switched off. Is it possible to increase the time that my phone rings to greater than the 30 seconds which it is at the moment, ideally to about 1 minute as 30 seconds is not sufficient time to answer many calls as you have to finish whatever you are doing and get to and find your phone as you do not always have it on you. Also is it possible to have some sort of announcement instead of the phone just cutting off?
Been a customer for 2 years with no problems until 4 days ago when my lg g6 showed emergency calls only. Tried the sim in different phones but same problem. Called ID who said technical services would be in touch in 48 hours, they weren't, so called again. I'd recently upgraded, so I had a new unused sim, was told to put it in and they activated it, but 2 days later I'm still not registered on the network. Like most people I depend on my phone for business and family communication. My son fell of his bike and was unable to contact me. By the way he has an ID sim which works fine. I see that I'm not the only one to have this problem, I'm looking for a more reliable network now, but just wondering if anyone knows what's going on ?
Lisa Atwood I have a phone and my children and we cannot get wifi or very limited out of wifi areas such as home. This has gone on for years now and still taking my money every month for what? Who can i go to any recommendations? We are desperate now, Thanks Lisa.
Can anyone help get safe search off please! It's not online at all! Ive looked everywhere. And it's impossible to talk to someone at ID to help! On top of dodgy signal at times n slow the rest of the time! It even makes it so difficult to leave or cancel contract! Not happy. It honestly feels like a scam
Since this morning my phone has lost coverage (it is a 3G phone) and says SOS calls only. Yet when I cross the hall to my neighbour’s flat there is coverage. I chatted online and was told there had been work in my area but that had finished. There was no idea of when my service would be restored. Is therr anything I can do about this - maybe change my network settings?
I have been with ID for a few months and been really happy, network is okay. I seldom see 4G on the bar and it often just shows H+ but speed seems fine but I did wonder about that. However, the last two days all of a sudden the network is terrible, especially at work ( CV34 4AB ), network should be pretty good according to the network checker. I often only have Emergency calling then it’s okay then gone again. I have a Pixel 3A and tired to following:RestartedReset Network Setting (losing stored WIFI passwords and Bluetooth paired list :( ) Checked ID access point: Seems okay according to a list I found on here. Checked condition of the simcard, seems fine I have not yet tried the sim in another phone but is there anything else I can try for now?
I switched to ID mobile at the beginning of the month, and even though I have full reception I am getting very poor mobile internet, often below 1mb a second. When checking https://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Network/Coverage it indicates that in my region (WR14) I should have ‘Very Good’ service. I moved from EE and my mobile internet was always very good. I understand ID is a more budget provider but I did not expect the internet to be so poor. My phone is a Oppo Find X5
2 days ago I received a new phone, and sim. I sent the PAC code to ID, and the switched occured today for which I received confirmation through text. Following this, I have encountered a number of problems. On sending any texts (not imessage), I get an undelivered notification on every message, but the person I send it to advises they have received said message between 3 to 6 times (I only send it once, and it tells me undelivered).I am also not receiving verification messages. I tried to login to whatsapp, and on the verification call and text part, it does not arrive. Likewise, I can’t add my switched number to my iphone as I never receive the verification code. Therefore can’t receive texts or calls via my number (excluding icloud email).I’m going to give it a few days to try and resolve this issue, however the lack of customer service and these issues mean I think I will be returning the phone within the 14 day cooling off period. If anyone could offer any insight or assistance I’d b
