Upgrading to Sim Only but keeping same Number.

Hi there


I have been considering upgrading my current plan to a sim only contract now that I have paid off my phone. 

I want to know if I will be able to use my current number on my new sim only deal?

For example, will I be on the new sim only plan if I don’t use the new sim sent to me and continue with my current sim?

Hey @Gabriel Nejah,

That’s correct.

As long as you do this via the account (login click My Account > Upgrade > SIM only)

You will keep your number.

If you are asked to setup a new Direct Debit (and have one active already) or for address history (for a credit check) then you may have gone onto a new contract application which will not allow you to keep your number.


Upgrades will just replace your current plan with the new one.

We do send a blank SIM currently on sim only upgrades but this SIM is blank and if activated, just moves services over to it, still keeping the number.
